Commercial coffee machine maker Coffema has been ordered to find a new name for its coffee machines. On 5 April 2011, the District Court of Den Bosch ruled that the name was too similar to Cafema, a registered trade mark for coffee.
Exit Coffema
Although coffee and coffee machines aren’t the same types of products, they are closely related and there is consequently a risk of confusion. Result? Exit Coffema, not just as a trade mark for the machines, but also as a company name.
