No Registration for Equus 007
On October 23, 2024, the European trademark office EUIPO informed the American company Equus Motors that it would not receive trademark protection for the trademark Equus 007. Danjaq LLC, the company managing the James Bond trademarks, holds a European trademark registration for the numbers 007. According to the EUIPO, the reputation and recognition of that trademark are so significant that it’s best to steer clear of it.
More Rejections
Equus is not the first 007-related brand to fail. Other trademarks like Ant-007 and Room007 have also previously lost out to James Bond.
