Maria-Gemma Huijnen
Maria-Gemma Huijnen is a partner and co-shareholder of Chiever. This year she is one of the ‘Managing Intellectual Property’s Global Top 250 Women in IP’, giving her the international recognition she deserves as a leading female IP practitioner.
Maria-Gemma came into contact with trademark law from an early age, thanks to her parents’ company; Cartils Branding & Packaging design. During her law studies in Leiden, she gained the necessary practical experience in the family business. During this period she learned a lot about the area where law and marketing meet. Maria-Gemma still uses this knowledge on a daily basis when advising its international clients.
After having worked as a trademark attorney at Shieldmark and later Zacco for several years, she switched to Chiever in 2011. Here she works for some of Chiever’s largest international clients with extensive international brand portfolios.
Maria-Gemma is a BMM Certified Trademark Attorney and EUIPO Registered EU Trademark and Design Attorney.
